Bette Anderson

Performed by various groups and individual artists, Bette Anderson's songs have entertained audiences near home in Kokomo, Indiana, and across the country, including spots in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Tucson, Chicago, and Austin.

While songwriting takes most of her time, Bette has been writing songs and stories for as long as she can remember. Her published works include poetry, greeting cards, essays, songs, and newspaper columns, interviews, and feature stories. Also, framed copies of her poems appear on walls and tables in private homes and offices.

Enjoying work with other writers, she was editor and contributor for the professional magazine Central Indiana Professional Writer for several years. She also served as president of CIPW and has held office in SAMI (Songwriters' Association of Mid-north Indiana.)

Experienced in every technical aspect of live theater for more than forty years, she has performed, directed, stage managed, and choreographed shows for community and university audiences. Her most recent appearance was as Lily Mortar in Kokomo Civic Theatre’s production of Lillian Hellman’s THE CHILDREN’S HOUR.

Bette’s most recent song cut is "LIFE HURTS" on Sharon Dressen McKnight’s CD, Factory Girl.
